Community Events & Intergration

Midwifery

We understand that it is not always easy for our patients to get to appointments in Ashton or elsewhere, that's why we've integrated with our Midwifery team at the hospital so we can offer these appointments here in Hyde. 

Locala Sexual Health

We have collaborated with Locala to deliver a monthly sexual health drop in clinic on the 2nd Monday of every month. This gives our patients the opportunity to just drop in for a check-up rather than travelling to the other side of Tameside.

Regular Health Promotion Events

We frequently have various health promotion events held in our waiting area. With services such as Citizens Advice, Mentel, Health Visitors & many more. We hope this increases our patients accessibility to services which have been previously hard to get in touch with.

BAME Ladies Walking Group

We offer weekly wellness challenges with our BAME community express the importance of getting a good amount of exercise.

Sexual Health - IUCD Fitting

We are aware of the long waits for some contraceptives such as Coils, Implants etc. To combat these waiting lists we are beginning to provide additional clinics at our site to assist our practices.

Childrens School Holiday Clubs

During school holidays, our childrens wellbeing run fun, active holiday clubs, free of charge for some of the families they work with. We hope this encourages school attendance.

Community Kitchen

We have a large community kitchen at our site in Hyde. This is used for group cooking sessions with our ESOL Learners and various other cohorts. We find that food is something that really brings the community together.
